Lyrical playing is the focus of this piece that incorporates the folk song Xiao Bai Chuan. This piece is also a good entry point for beginners to learn chromatic playing, as the generally slow pace allows for more response time to accidentals. This piece does not come with a play-along track.

Am I Sleeping provides a dark twist to the popular childrens’ song Are You Sleeping, Brother John. It starts off dreamy, but then creeps towards a sinister nightmare, before waking up to reality again. This piece has 2 different endings to choose from, a loud and a soft one.

Sampan Takes Off
This is a fast paced thriller piece which reimagines the folk song Dayung Sampan. It features industrious and driving rhythms, almost as though building a mechanical sampan (a Southeast Asian boat) that will eventually soar into the sky.
